Facility Update: Graduations

Valley View Recovery Center opened the men’s unit August 11th, 2020 and we have already witnessed a handful of successful discharges. Once completed, a majority of clients are transferred to different types of aftercare locations such as transitional housing, intensive outpatient with lodging, or medium and low intensity residential treatment to aid in their long term recovery process.

A graduation ceremony is provided for each and every successful graduate. The ceremony involves passing of a “recovery coin” or “key to recovery” and wishing the client well, giving feedback and advise, and LOTS of words of encouragement. Tears are shed, laughing is heard from a distance, and positive memories are made.
